Union contracts equal better wages and benefits for winery and distillery employees than non-union companies.

Our members are experts in their fields in this growing industry and produce a variety of quality wines and spirits, including Jim Beam whiskey and E & J Gallo, Mondavi and Constellation brand wine products. Because they have a union contract, our members earn significantly better wages and benefits than nonunion workers in this industry. On average, union workers’ wages are 11.2 percent higher than their nonunion counterparts.

Whether you are working in a winery or a distillery plant, UFCW has a proud history of negotiating strong contracts for the hard-working women and men in this industry that include wage increases, comprehensive and affordable health care, equal pay for equal work, and maintenance of workplace safety.
