{"id":35780,"date":"2020-08-13T18:07:25","date_gmt":"2020-08-13T18:07:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ufcw.test.vmgdev.com\/?page_id=35328"},"modified":"2025-05-14T14:08:42","modified_gmt":"2025-05-14T14:08:42","slug":"milton-jones","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ufcw.org\/about\/leadership\/milton-jones\/","title":{"rendered":"Milton Jones"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UFCW International President Milton Jones has been a UFCW member for more than 45 years and has served in various capacities in the International Union for over 33 years.\u00a0 He began his career as a courtesy clerk with Kroger in Florence, Ala., and became a member of Local 1557 (now Local 1995) in Nashville, Tenn., in 1978.\u00a0 After graduation and serving four years in the U.S. Navy, he returned to Kroger where he served as shop steward and was a volunteer organizer (SPUR).\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He joined the staff of the UFCW International in Atlanta, Ga., in 1990 as an organizer.&nbsp; After moving through the ranks as a General Organizer and International Representative, he was promoted to Assistant to the Director and later to Collective Bargaining Representative.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2003, he was promoted to Executive Assistant to the Director in Region 2 in Philadelphia, Pa. &nbsp;From there, he went on to serve as Assistant and Executive Assistant to the International Organizing Director and Executive Assistant to the International Bargaining Director in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was promoted to Director of Region 5 Southern and elected International Vice President in February 2015.&nbsp;
