America\u2019s Largest Cannabis Workers Union Reaches Historic Agreement to Unionize CBD Joint Venture\u2019s Workforce Across Manufacturing, Packaging, Sales, and Consumer Education as Industry Continues to Fuel Economic Growth Nationwide<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

WASHINGTON, D.C.<\/strong> \u2014 Today, United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW)<\/strong><\/a>, which represents 1.3 million essential food and retail workers<\/strong> and is America\u2019s largest cannabis workers union, announced with Union Harvest<\/a> and Nature\u2019s Root Labs<\/a> the first-ever national agreement<\/strong> to unionize<\/strong> the entire workforce<\/strong> of a joint cannabis venture<\/strong>. Today\u2019s agreement between UFCW and these companies in Longmont, Colorado<\/strong> marks a first of its kind, across-the-board unionized CBD joint venture that sets a precedent for even more workers in the industry to unionize.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

UFCW Local 7 in Colorado<\/strong> will represent workers in production and packaging at Nature\u2019s Root Labs<\/a> in Longmont<\/strong>, which is the manufacturer for Union Harvest. UFCW Local 1625 in Florida<\/strong> will represent CBD workers in purchasing, sales, and worker\/customer education at Union Harvest\u2019s Clearwater<\/strong> location. With CBD now available to purchase nationwide, this UFCW deal with Union Harvest and Nature\u2019s Root Labs is the first-ever national union contract for CBD workers<\/strong> and has the potential to transform the country\u2019s $13.3 billion CBD market<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
