At Half Price Books, our booksellers<\/a> are the ones that do the majority of the day-to-day operations, and our labor is why this company is profitable. The work we do is valuable, and we deserve to be treated like it.<\/strong> When you have a union at your store, you and your coworkers have a voice on the job. Together, we have the ability to negotiate wages, health and safety standards, and benefits. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Booksellers at stores across the country are coming together to advocate for better wages, working conditions, and job protections. You deserve a union contract and all the benefits that come with it, too!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Half Price Books: Now a Union<\/mark> Company<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

We recently won incredible first contracts at 5 of our union stores<\/strong> in Minnesota and Indiana! In these deals, we raised the bar on wages across the company, just cause discipline policies, comprehensive grievance procedures, key protections for transgender employees, and more. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

With these first contracts, we\u2019re setting an entirely new standard for the value of our work and how we should be treated. Now, we\u2019re fighting to secure these same improvements at more stores across the company. We can\u2019t wait to keep raising the bar for all of our coworkers at Half Price Books, and we\u2019re here to help you bring our movement to your store!  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
