The workers at the Brooklyn store in the Dumbo neighborhood and their colleagues at the store in Chelsea&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/forlocals.ufcw.org\/2021\/05\/10\/new-york-foragers-market-workers-join-local-1500\/\">joined UFCW Local 1500 last spring<\/a>&nbsp;because they were concerned about arbitrary pay cuts, scheduling issues, sick leave violations, unfair and cruel treatment from management, lack of raises and benefits, and arbitrary and unfair terminations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two-year contract addresses those concerns and includes guaranteed raises and benefits;&nbsp;a clear direction for members\u2019 schedules; and guaranteed vacation and holiday pay. The contract also includes protections relating to arbitrary pay cuts and unfair terminations, as well as unfair and cruel management practices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m very glad we got the contract,\u201d said Foragers Market worker Samuel Cabello. \u201cWe\u2019ve been waiting for this for over a year. I\u2019m so happy we finally got it and all the good benefits the employees are getting from the union.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cForagers Market now joins our over 16,000 members in New York and I am extremely proud to welcome them to our union family,\u201d said UFCW Local 1500 President Robert W.
