Va., joined ICWUC \/ UFCW Local 566C for the better wages and benefits that come with a union contract. Elementis Specialties, Inc. is a global chemical company, and the 25 workers are employed as chemical operators, lab technicians, material handlers and maintenance technicians.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These workers joined our union family by a unanimous vote because they were concerned about job security, and wanted the protection and security that a union contract provides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWow! A unanimous vote! A big thank you to President Heasley and John Getz for helping the employees at Elementis to vote unanimously to join ICWUC Local 566,\u201d said Elementis Specialties, Inc. employee Nate Frum. \u201cI also want to thank the members of Local 566 for welcoming us with open arms. They\u2019ve showed us respect and professionalism and made me feel like a brother from the day we met. I\u2019m so proud of the Elementis members for standing together in solidarity. Our first step is complete. Good things are to follow.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe ICWUC is proud of the solidarity the workers of Elementis displayed with their unanimous election win,\u201d said ICWUC President Lance E.
