WASHINGTON, D.C.<\/strong> \u2013 Today, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW)<\/a>, America\u2019s largest private sector union representing 1.2 million essential workers in grocery, meatpacking, food processing, retail, and other essential industries across North America, endorsed Senator Sherrod Brown for reelection. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

UFCW International President Marc Perrone released the following statement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\u201cSenator Sherrod Brown is a true champion of labor. From his support of essential front-line workers in farming, meat processing, and grocery, to protecting the hard-earned pensions and retirement security of union members, to promoting fairness on the job for all workers, Sen. Brown has been a steadfast voice in the Senate for working people and their families.”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n
