Metro Market is a subsidiary of the Kroger Company.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The three-year contract, which was ratified unanimously, includes base wage increases of up to 22 percent for all contractual shift premiums, and a simplified wage scale allowing base wages to increase up to $1.50 per year of employment. In addition, there is no change to the members\u2019 health care costs or coverage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m really proud of the bargaining committee and members at Metro Market for coming to the negotiation table knowing what they wanted and standing firm on what they needed,\u201d said UFCW Local 1473 Union Representative Ian Marten. \u201cThis bargaining session brought some of the largest base wage increases our local has ever seen.
