On June 4, members of UFCW Local 400 who work at the Sweetspot cannabis dispensary in Olney, Md., ratified their first union contract. These workers\u00a0joined UFCW Local 400<\/a>\u00a0in September of last year around the same time another Sweetspot dispensary in Exeter, R.I.,\u00a0joined UFCW Local 328<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Key provisions of the three-year contract include:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

  • $2.00\/hour increase in starting pay<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n

  • Guaranteed raises every six months<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Time and a half on Sundays<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Three extra holidays per year<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Vision, dental, and health insurance<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Guaranteed employee discounts<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Seniority privileges<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Just cause protection from unfair discipline<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n
