On August 5, members of UFCW Local 400 who work at Montgomery Rehab and Nursing in Montgomery, W. Va., ratified a new contract. Montgomery Rehab and Nursing is a 60-bed nursing facility directly across from Montgomery General Hospital that provides short- and long-term care services to patients in need.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Key provisions of the three-year contract include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    \n
  • Largest across-the-board pay increases for certified nursing assistants of any contract ever at the facility.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Longevity raises in years five, 10 and 20.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Preserved health benefits with minimal premium increases in the second and third years of the agreement.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
  • Preserves vacation accrual for all current employees.<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n
