Members of UFCW Locals 175 and 633 who work at the Cargill London and Ingersoll poultry processing facilities in the city of London in Ontario, Canada, recently ratified a new contract.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Highlights of the five-year contract include wage increases, dental benefit improvements, paramedical benefit improvements, an increased footwear allowance, improved bereavement language, and more.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

With this contract, the Ingersoll facility is now entitled to the enhanced severance package, a significant achievement for these workers. The contract also includes language to address break times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\u201cOur members at Cargill work difficult, taxing jobs, and are part of a vital supply chain that keeps food on the table for families every day,\u201d said President of UFCW Local 175 Kelly Tosato<\/strong>. \u201cThe agreement ratified at our London and Ingersoll plants will provide solid wage and other monetary increases, as well as language improvements that these members were determined to achieve.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
