They claim to have a squeaky-clean brand that focuses on ethical beauty products and fair treatment, but they\u2019ve been union busting aggressively and trying to stop us from growing our union.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Actions speak louder than words. Lush needs to start living out the ethical standard they claim to uphold.&nbsp;<strong>Sign our petition and tell Lush to STOP union busting and fighting our union.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The way Lush has been treating our union reveals an ugly reality about their priorities and their true nature. For too long, they\u2019ve been union busting and applying a double standard to their own employees.&nbsp;<strong>We condemn these actions because union busting is a profound violation of Lush\u2019s so-called commitments to fair labor standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re calling for customers like you to tell Lush: act like the progressive company that\u2019s true to your values \u2014 not just another anti-worker corporation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"html\">\n<link href='https:\/\/actionnetwork.org\/css\/style-embed-v3.css' rel='stylesheet' type='text\/css' \/><script src='https:\/\/actionnetwork.org\/widgets\/v6\/petition\/tell-lush-to-stop-union-busting?format=js&#038;source=widget'><\/script><div id='can-petition-area-tell-lush-to-stop-union-busting' style='width: 100%'><!-- this div is the target for our HTML insertion --><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"heading\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is Lush union busting?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we started building our Union at Lush, they responded by holding anti-union meetings during work hours and distributing anti-union leaflets. These leaflets discouraged us from exercising our rights to join a union, with statements like \u201cunions are businesses\u201d and \u201csigning a union card is the same as signing a 100 page contract without reading it\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lush also suggested that anyone who supported the union was trying to trick their coworkers into signing a union card.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the most shocking escalation happened recently, in response to our election filing at Lush in Annapolis, Maryland. After Lush found out we wanted to unionize in the Annapolis mall, they FIRED two of our coworkers on the same day in direct retaliation for supporting our union.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This behavior is unacceptable &#8211; the right to organize is a human right, and it\u2019s shameful to see Lush using their power and wealth to undermine democratic practices in the workplace.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"heading\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Does Lush Need to Hear from Customers Like You?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"tw-max-w-217 tw-m-auto tw-px-6 rich-text contained-block\" data-module=\"paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Calling Lush out on their union busting and unlawful retaliation is the best way for us to get through to them. We\u2019ve seen this happen time and time again &#8211; when customers and workers speak out, companies listen.
